Duarte : Healthy Cities Project

A month after winning a South Coast Air Quality Management District award for aggressive efforts to reduce air pollution, Duarte is vying for one of eight spots in the California Healthy Cities Project.
The state Department of Health Services will provide winners, to be selected this summer, with five days of on-site technical assistance on health projects and with help in finding funding to promote health awareness.
Duarte proposes to create an English-Spanish directory of physical-fitness and health services in the community if it is selected for the project.
