Each of four Ecclesia Athletic Assn. members was sentenced to the maximum 20 years in prison today for beating to death the 8-year-old daughter of the founder of the Watts, Calif.,-based group.

Clackamas County Circuit Judge John Lowe sentenced the four after hearing an emotional plea to release them from Ecclesia founder Eldridge Broussard Jr. Broussard, dressed in fatigues, told Lowe: “I’m here to beg the court to please release these people until such time as an appeal comes.”

The defendants are Willie K. Chambers, 35, of San Diego; and Constance Z. Jackson, 38, Brian J. Brinson, 31, and Frederick P. Doolittle, 28, all of Los Angeles.
