You can write all you want about the reason for the Detroit sweep in the NBA finals.

You can give credit to the Piston guard trio, the Lakers’ untimely injuries or the difference between the benches.

However, the actual force behind the Piston victories was my guacamole. There were only two occasions during the entire playoffs that I neglected to make my good-luck guacamole.

Who’d have thought the Pistons would need it at home against the Chicago Bulls?
