Permit Parking on Agenda

A possible expansion of permit parking near South Bay Hospital will be considered at a meeting of the Redondo Beach City Council at 5:30 p.m. Thursday.

The meeting was postponed from Tuesday because officials learned that a commencement program had been scheduled in the council chambers that night.

The parking issue arose when residents complained that construction workers and employees of the hospital, which is building a parking structure and medical office building, were parking their cars on nearby residential streets. Last Tuesday, the council restricted daytime parking to residents on the 500 block of North Prospect Avenue and vowed to expand the system if nonresidents seek parking space on other streets.
