Community Psychiatric Centers, Laguna Hills, reported that earnings increased 19% in the second quarter ended May 31, to $23.5 million from $19.7 million for the comparable quarter last year. Revenue in the quarter rose 21% to $112.9 million from $93.1 million. For the first half, earnings totaled $44 million, 20% higher than the $36.6 million posted for the first six months a year ago. Revenue increased 23% to $215.4 million from $174.7 million. Community Psychiatric owns and operates a chain of psychiatric hospitals. It also provides alcoholic treatment services, operates a chain of kidney dialysis centers and owns a home health care services business.
