Razor Ruddock survived a second-round knockdown to beat James (Bonecrusher) Smith at Fayetteville, N.C., with a seventh-round knockout of the former world World Boxing Assn. heavyweight champion.
Ruddock (22-1-1) used a right hand to send Smith against the ropes and finished him with a left hook. Smith (19-8-1) was counted out at 2:18 of the seventh round.
