Development Director of Santa Clarita Quits

Kyle Kollar, Santa Clarita’s first community development director, has resigned and will leave the city July 28 to join Kaufman and Broad, a housing construction firm.

Kollar, 37, said he resigned to pursue what he called a rare opportunity to work with one of the major builders in the state. He will head the company’s Antelope Valley division. Kollar, who had worked for Santa Clarita 14 months, notified City Manager George Caravalho of his resignation Friday.
