Assessor Falls From Roof, Breaks Leg

Share

Los Angeles County Assessor John Lynch fell from the roof of his home last weekend, suffering a broken leg and ankle, his spokesman said Monday.

Lynch, 52, was expected to be released by the end of the week from Northridge Hospital Medical Center, where he was in good condition, and return to work by the end of the month, spokesman Robert Knowles said.

Knowles said the assessor suffered the fractures Saturday after a ladder gave way while he was climbing down from the roof of his home in Northridge after repairing an air-conditioning unit.

Paramedics took the assessor to the hospital, where X-rays revealed the fractures. Lynch also injured his right hip.
