Board of Public Works to Meet in Van Nuys
The Los Angeles Board of Public Works will hold its next meeting Friday at the Donald C. Tillman Water Reclamation Plant in Van Nuys.
The meeting is one of several that are being held away from City Hall to encourage attendance by residents who live outside the downtown area.
Board President Edward J. Avila said extra time will be set aside for public comment on all matters under the board’s jurisdiction. The board oversees the bureaus of sanitation, street maintenance, engineering, street lighting, contract administration, accounting and management-employee services.
The meeting is scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m. at 6100 Woodley Ave.
