The masters and crews of two Canadian fishing boats seized on suspicion of illegal fishing have arrived in Prince Rupert, British Columbia, aboard a ferry from Ketchikan, Alaska, the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service said. Their boats remained docked in Ketchikan. The Coast Guard seized the Viscount and the Fonzie after it said they were observed fishing in U.S. waters of Dixon Entrance, between southeast Alaska and Canada’s Queen Charlotte Islands. A court complaint alleging illegal fishing and seeking forfeiture of the vessels, gear and fish on board was filed in Anchorage.
