Changes are also afoot at KABC radio. Psychologist Dr. David Viscott, who has been heard weekdays from 2-3 p.m., is off the air indefinitely, although he is still under contract and may come back. “His show is temporarily on hiatus while we look at the whole situation,” marketing director Lou Schatzer said Monday. “It’s up in the air as to what’s going to happen.” Also at KABC, the status of veteran broadcast personality Tom Snyder is “up in the air.” Snyder, who held down the 7-9 nightly slot, has been off the air since the first of July. A news program hosted by Bill Pearl has filled Synder’s time, which is frequently interrupted during baseball season.
