A tip from a television viewer led to the arrest of 27-year-old Kelly (Sunshine) Loyd for allegedly running a San Francisco brothel specializing in teen-age girls, the FBI said. “She and her husband were part of a network of houses of prostitution that employed and traded in girls,” said San Francisco Police Inspector Kelly Carroll. The tip from a viewer of “America’s Most Wanted” led police to Loyd at her home in Hartsville, S.C., the FBI said. Loyd fled San Francisco shortly before a March, 1988, police raid on the Mission District brothel that led to the arrest of 13 regular customers for unlawful sex with minors, including Roger Boas, the city’s former administrator and an unsuccessful mayoral candidate. Police said Loyd and her husband, Patrick Roberts, operated the brothel for several years.
