Tribune Co.: The Chicago media company reported record earnings in the second quarter. Profit was up 18.4% to $75.3 million. Revenue was $643 million, up 4.9% from the same period a year ago. The company credited improved results at its newspapers in Chicago, Ft. Lauderdale and Orlando.
