Florida Execution Stayed

WASHINGTON —
The Supreme Court granted a stay of execution Tuesday to killer James William Hamblen, hours before he was scheduled to be executed in Florida’s electric chair. The stay was granted so the justices can review an appeal by Hamblen’s lawyers, a spokeswoman for the court said.
