Squibb Corp.: The Princeton, N. J.-based pharmaceutical firm reported second-quarter profit of $133 million, up 17%. Sales totaled $710 million, up 10%. The firm said the results, which came despite a 32% rise in research and development investment, reflected the performance of its products and its ability to maintain gross margins.
