The Calgary Flames and Washington Capitals will begin an eight-game National Hockey League tour of the Soviet Union in September.
The Stanley Cup champion Flames will play a game in Leningrad on Sept. 14. They will also play Kiev Sokol, the Soviet Wings and Central Red Army.
The Washington Capitals will play Spartak Sept. 15 in Moscow also play Moscow Dynamo, Riga Dynamo and a Red Army team.
