REAL ESTATE : 3 Major Developers Selected by Brea to Submit Redevelopment Proposals

The city of Brea will get a face-lift from at least one of three developers the city recently picked to submit proposals for a downtown redevelopment project.
The three are huge Texas developer Trammell Crow Co.; Watt Commercial Development Corp., a big Santa Monica developer that--among other redevelopment projects--did Anaheim Towne Center; and Alexander Haagen Co., another big developer that specializes in retail buildings and has done redevelopment projects in Los Angeles, Chino and El Monte.
They were selected from 30 applicants. The three will be asked for proposals for the 22-acre downtown site and surrounding area.
The proposals will be reviewed at public workshops this fall.
