Ingersoll-Rand: The Woodcliff Lake, N.J., industrial equipment manufacturer reported record second-quarter earnings of $52.4 million, up 30.7% from the same period a year ago. Sales were up 16.4% to $907.4 million. The firm attributed the profit rise to sales increases in every segment of the company.
