Bush NOAA Choice Helped Form Agency

WASHINGTON —
John A. Knauss, a former professor, has been picked to head the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, an agency he helped create 19 years ago.
The White House announced Friday that President Bush has selected Knauss for the post. The nomination is subject to Senate confirmation.
