Cries of ‘Foul!’ Should Be Redirected by Angel Fans
On July 14, the Angels’ million-dollar cleanup hitter left seven baserunners stranded in a two-run loss. On the next day, the Angels had 19 hits and a pitcher who couldn’t throw a strike and a manager who couldn’t realize a game was being lost. Those were two of the worst managed games I’ve ever seen.
But the manager put on quite a show. All those theatrics about the home run being a foul ball. It wasn’t the home run that beat the Angels--it was the manager.
