Confrontation at Tustin’s Abortion Clinic

If Barbara Delano (Letters, July 16) truly believes that Operation Rescue is only “quiet and prayerful” in its actions, then she has never been on the front lines of an Operation Rescue “mission.”

I was at the Tustin clinic July 8 before Operation Rescue arrived. I watched as a group of 15 to 20 “rescuers” ran like a battering ram into a line of pro-choice people, trying to break through their linked arms. They did not succeed.

For the next two to three hours, I and many other pro-choice advocates were pushed and shoved as “rescuers” continued to try to force their way to the clinic doors. It was only when they realized they could not push us out of the way that they started praying.
