San Diego
A Los Angeles man was killed early Tuesday on the 4800 block of Trojan Avenue in a drug-related shooting, according to a San Diego Police spokesman.
William Sam Culberson, 22, was walking down the street about 1:45 a.m. when an assailant fired three times, missing twice and hitting Culberson once, Police Sgt. Ed Petrick said.
Culberson, who was pronounced dead on the scene, had a handgun, a wad of small bills, and some rock cocaine in his possession when he was shot, Petrick said.
Petrick said police had detained several people for questioning but have made no arrests.
