From Times staff reports

A three-month undercover investigation has resulted in the arrests of a supervisor and four workers at the McDonnell Douglas aerospace plant in Huntington Beach on suspicion of dealing drugs, police said today.

Huntington Beach narcotics officers worked in conjunction with McDonnell Douglas security on the investigation that resulted in the arrests, which were made July 20 but not disclosed until today, police said. All the suspects were arrested at work except one, who was taken into custody at her Stanton home, Police Lt. Ed McErlain said.

The investigation “was a result of a combination of (company security officials) coming to us with the suspicion there could be a problem, coupled with intelligence information we received,” McErlain said.
