U.S. District Judge John D. Holschuh of Columbus, Ohio, is expected to announce a decision today on which court has jurisdiction over Pete Rose’s legal fight against baseball Commissioner Bart Giamatti.

Holschuh will decide whether Rose, manager of the Cincinnati Reds, can keep the case in his hometown before an elected judge, or whether it will be heard by a federal judge.
