Wife Slayer Receives 15-Years-to-Life Term
A Glendale man convicted of second-degree murder in the stabbing death of his wife was sentenced last week to 15 years to life in prison by a Pasadena Superior Court judge.
Haro Agakian, 40, was found guilty in June of stabbing his wife, Judy Agakian, 37, to death with a kitchen knife in the master bedroom of their apartment in the 300 block of North Isabel Street. The incident occurred in March, 1988.
Judge Terry Smerling could have sentenced Agakian to 16 years to life in prison. Agakian will be eligible for parole after serving 10 years.
