SOUTHLAND : Newborn Boy Found in Palmdale

A construction crew reporting to work this morning found a newborn boy who had been abandoned at the Palmdale work site, sheriff’s deputies said.
The baby, who was not clothed, was taken to Palmdale General Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition, Deputy Kathryn Nielsen said. Doctors estimated that he was 7 hours old. The crew made the discovery about 7 a.m., when they reported for work at 17th Street East and Avenue R-4, Nielsen said.
