From Reuters
PANAMA CITY —
Schools and universities closed down in Panama on Friday for at least three days after the death of a student in a clash with Panamanian riot police.
The Education Ministry said public and private schools will be closed until further notice, and classes were suspended at universities for three days.
The 24-year-old student died of gunshot wounds in the chest Thursday when riot police charged dozens of demonstrators protesting against calls for new elections.
