Death of Navy Man Attributed to Seizure
From United Press International
PENSACOLA, Fla. —
A 22-year-old officer candidate who died last June during water-survival training at Pensacola Naval Air Station suffered a fatal seizure of unknown cause, the Navy said Friday.
Cmdr. Dennis Hessler said the final autopsy found no indication that Michael J. Fedie, 22, of Altoona, Wis., had suffered a blow to the head or had had a disease or congenital abnormality.
Navy officials earlier ruled out drowning in the June 23 death and said that there was no indication of failed safety procedures.
