Geraldo Rivera will expand his syndicated television program to six days a week come January. “We’re looking at a late-night weekend show, slightly more male-oriented,” Rivera said Wednesday. The show will be offered for use on Friday, Saturday or Sunday nights, with the time slot to vary. Rivera said that while the sixth show will increase his workload, he still won’t be as busy as when he was doing prime-time specials. “I wound up working seven days a week. It wasn’t worth it as far as my physical and emotional well-being,” he said. The new show will be “precisely the same format, but skewed toward a male audience.” “Geraldo” now is broadcast five days a week on more than 200 stations in the United States plus the United Kingdom and Canada.
