Body Identified as Pacoima Woman
Authorities have identified a Pacoima woman whose nude body was found June 24 off Fogarty Creek State Park in Oregon.
There was no identification found with clothing left on the beach by Melody Marie Mix Denny, 28, Sheriff’s Lt. Paul Williamson said Tuesday. The cause of death appeared to be drowning, Williamson said, and it will be classified as an accidental death.
A search was begun after a beachcomber found a pile of clothes and footprints leading into the ocean. Denny’s body was recovered by a Coast Guard helicopter from North Bend. Police used her fingerprints to track down her identity.
