The Kings’ International Hockey League team, the New Haven Nighthawks, announced Friday that Marcel Comeau had been named coach and director of hockey operations. Comeau replaced Rick Dudley, who became coach of the Buffalo Sabres last month. Comeau played junior hockey with the Edmonton Oil Kings of the Western Hockey League and then had nine seasons with Saginaw of the IHL. In 1981, he became player-coach of the Saginaw team. Since 1983, Comeau had been coach of the Saskatoon team in the Western Junior Hockey League.
