County Golfers May, Paulson Tie for Second in State Tournament
Two Orange County golfers were among five who tied for second Friday in the California State Open golf tournament in Rancho Mirage.
Tied at 278, three shots behind Brad Bell of Sacramento, were amateur Bob May of La Habra, who had a final-round 72 on the Mission Hills Old Course; Dennis Paulson of Costa Mesa, who had a 71; Robert Meyer of Sacramento; Greg Bruckner of Manhattan Beach and Brian Henninger of Palm Desert.
Bell shot a one-over-par 73 for the victory.
