South Korean prosecutors said they have charged opposition politician Suh Kyung Won with spying for North Korea and will summon Kim Dae Jung, head of his party, for questioning about funds that Suh brought back from a trip to Pyongyang. The prosecutors said that Suh, a member of the Party for Peace and Democracy who was arrested in late June, has been formally charged with four counts of violating the national security law. Suh acknowledged traveling to North Korea last summer, which by itself is against the law, but denies the spying charges.
