Fullerton : 10-Year-Old Girl Saves Boy at Bottom of Pool
A 10-year-old Fullerton girl was credited Tuesday with saving the life of a 5-year-old boy who was floating at the bottom of the Independence Park pool in Fullerton, police said.
Sgt. Steve Matson said the girl, Tracy Katzin, spotted Phillip Gregg of Fullerton at the bottom of the pool and dove down to pull him to the surface. The lifeguard was summoned for help, but Phillip began breathing on his own.
The boy, who is the son of lawyer Aaron Charles Gregg, was taken to St. Jude Hospital in Fullerton for treatment and evaluation. He was released within two hours of the incident, Matson said.
