Bill White, president of the National League, talked with umpire crew chief Jerry Crawford in Riverfront Stadium after a shoving incident involving Cincinnati Reds Manager Pete Rose.

Rose shoved umpire Joe West after West and Red second baseman Ron Oester were involved in an altercation.

White declined comment after discussions with the parties involved. No decision was announced.

In Columbus, Ohio, federal magistrate Terence Kemp ordered FBI fingerprint records of Rose turned over to baseball investigators.

The FBI reportedly found Rose’s fingerprints on three betting sheets that keep track of wagers on professional sports, including Red games.
