Costa Mesa : Printing Firm’s Owner Found Injured at Work
The owner of a Costa Mesa printing firm was seriously injured Friday at his business and rushed to a Santa Ana hospital, where he was listed in guarded condition Friday night, authorities said.
Costa Mesa Fire Capt. Randy Croll said Beryl Maloney, whose age and home address were not known, either got an electric shock or was injured in a printing press at the firm at 1760 Monrovia Ave., D-2. Croll said Maloney appeared to be about 50 years of age.
The Lifeflight helicopter was used to transport Maloney to the United Western Medical Center-Santa Ana, Croll said. He said Maloney’s employees found him collapsed next to the printing press.
