Countywide : Show to Benefit Home for Abused Children

A fashion show will be held Oct. 28 at the Ritz-Carlton hotel in Dana Point to benefit Casita de San Jose, a nonprofit group home for abused children.

The event, entitled “An Afternoon at the Ritz,” will begin at 11 a.m. and will include a silent auction and raffle.

Fashions will be presented by Boise Taylor, fashion coordinator for the Crystal Court at South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa. Professional models will show designs from a selection of stores, including Polo Country, Adrienne Vittadini, Koala Blue and Alfred Sung.

Raffle prizes will include one night’s lodging at the Ritz-Carlton and a weekend at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas.

Casita de San Jose provides long-term shelter at two homes in Santa Ana for children who have been victimized by severe physical, sexual or emotional abuse, said John Dieball, an Orange County businessman and volunteer chairman of the group’s fund-raising activities.

Fashion show tickets are $40 per person. Individuals and companies can be gold or silver sponsors for $500 and $250 respectively. For tickets and more information, contact ticket chairwoman Susan Breese at (714) 997-8927.
