NICOSIA, Cyprus —
Iran has repaired more than 95% of the damage caused by Iraqi air attacks on its biggest operating oil refinery, Iran’s IRNA news agency said Sunday.
It said the plant at Esfahan now produces 150,000 barrels per day of kerosene and diesel fuel, 50,000 barrels per day of gasoline, 15,000 barrels per day of liquefied gas and a large amount of fuel oil and tar.
The Abadan refinery, once Iran’s biggest, was devastated in the eight-year Iran-Iraq War.
