Alpharel Posts Loss of $2.5 Million for Quarter

Alpharel, a Camarillo-based supplier of computer data storage devices, reported a $2.5-million loss for the second quarter that ended June 30, compared with a $2.7-million loss a year earlier. Revenue rose 47% to $1.1 million from $776,000.

For the six months that ended in June, Alpharel reported a $4.7-million loss, compared with a loss of $6.3 million in 1988’s first half. Six-month revenue increased 68% to $2.4 million from $1.4 million.
