Firefighters Stage Burn North of Agoura
Firefighters staged a 125-acre controlled burn in hills north of Agoura on Wednesday evening to eliminate brush that could fuel a wildfire, the Los Angeles County Fire Department reported.
The burn was begun at 7 p.m. at Chesebro Road and Cheeseboro Canyon, about one mile north of the Ventura Freeway, Firefighter Randy Orr said. It was expected to continue for several hours before burning itself out, he said.
