Paskowitz Advances in Longboarding

Israel Paskowitz of San Clemente advanced Saturday to the semifinal round in two divisions in the Oceanside Longboard Surfing Club contest.

Paskowitz advanced in the noserider and the young men’s (19-29) divisions. Highly regarded noserider Chris Schlickenmeyer of Hawaii failed to advance.

Advancing in the women’s open division was former world champion Joyce Hoffman of San Juan Capistrano.

Semifinal rounds begin this morning at 7. The finals, including a 30-minute tandem heat, are scheduled to begin at 10:20 a.m.
