Lakewood : Assistant Principal Named for Artesia High School
Veteran teacher and administrator Gene Hawley has been named assistant principal at Artesia High School in Lakewood.
Hawley taught history and has been a counselor in the ABC Unified School District for 26 years. For the past two years, he has been coordinator of the district’s mentor program for training teachers.
Hawley has a bachelor’s degree in history and a master of arts degree in education technology from Cal State Long Beach. He is 48 and lives in Irvine.
