A 31-year-old woman was severely beaten and possibly raped by an intruder who broke into her Linda Vista apartment sometime early Wednesday, a police spokesman said.
The bound and gagged victim dragged herself outside in the 7000 block of Camino Degrazia, where she was found shortly before 7 a.m., police spokesman Bill Robinson said.
The victim was treated at Sharp Memorial Hospital and released. She has yet to give full details to the police, Robinson said.
The intruder entered the house through the rear bedroom window sometime after midnight, after the woman had gone to bed, according to Robinson. He escaped in his victim’s car and remains at large, Robinson said.
