Actress-director Lee Grant will be honored with the Film Actress Tribute at the fifth annual Women in Film Festival Oct. 21 at the Directors Guild of America. The tribute to the award-winning Grant will include the U.S. premiere of her recently directed film, “Staying Together.” Among other honors, Grant has received an Academy Award (for her role in “Shampoo”), two Emmy Awards (“Peyton Place,” “The Neon Ceiling”) and a Critics Circle Award (for the stage version of “Detective Story”). Past Women In Film Festival honorees are Sally Field, Julie Andrews, Sissy Spacek and Kathleen Turner. The Women in Film Festival will run Oct. 19-22, showcasing achievements of women film makers around the world.
