Director-producer-actress Debbie Allen will deliver the keynote morning speech at “Moving Upward; Moving Onward; Moving Forward,” an all-day Career Strategies for Women seminar to be presented Saturday by the Joint Women’s Committee of the Directors Guild of America and Writers Guild of America, West. KNBC News anchor Linda Alvarez will moderate an afternoon panel on getting to the top. The 8 a.m.-4 p.m. event will include workshops on career advancement and will be held at the new DGA building in Hollywood. It’s open to DGA and WGA members only.
