Local : Off-Duty Officer Shoots Himself
An off-duty Los Angeles police officer wounded himself in the leg while loading his revolver at home, authorities said this morning.
Christopher Kunz was at his home in the 12000 block of Eddleston Drive in the Porter Ranch area of the northern San Fernando Valley and was loading his revolver about 5:50 p.m. Tuesday when the gun discharged, Los Angeles police Detective Ralph Duncan said.
The bullet passed through Kunz’ right thigh. He was taken to Holy Cross Hospital and was in good condition, Duncan said.
