Picket lines went up Wednesday night at the New York City Opera production of “Il Barbiere di Siviglia” at Lincoln Center, casting the remaining eight weeks of the season in jeopardy. By a vote of 53 to 4 earlier Wednesday, the NYCO orchestra rejected a final offer of a three-year contract with 23 weeks each season and 4% annual raises. Both sides say no further meetings are scheduled. The last NYCO strike was six years ago and 54 days were lost in the season.
