Matt Millen, former Raider linebacker, was called in for a tryout with the San Francisco 49ers, fueling speculation he might be signed to replace the injured Riki Ellison.

“He had a good workout, but that is all I can tell you right now,” 49er Coach George Seifert said. “When there is somebody like him who is available, it behooves us to evaluate their ability.”

Seifert said he expects a decision to be made today.

Ellison, who has a broken right arm, was placed on injured reserve before the final roster cut and is ineligible to return this season unless he is sent through waivers.
