Plans for Rancho Park Post Office Approved
The U.S. Postal Service has approved plans to build a new Rancho Park post office at 11214 Exposition Blvd., near the intersection of the San Diego and Santa Monica freeways.
Construction is scheduled to start in October, 1990, and be completed a year later.
The new facility will provide customer services for the Rancho Park area and will also serve as headquarters for letter carriers for the Rancho Park and West Los Angeles post offices. It will offer nearly three times the work space of the existing Rancho Park office, 10587 Pico Blvd., and it will have a parking structure for customers.
When the two-story, 42,000-square-foot office opens, the existing Rancho Park facility will close. The West Los Angeles office, at 11420 Santa Monica Blvd., will then be renovated.
