Bush-Shevardnadze Talks Scheduled

WASHINGTON —
President Bush will meet with Soviet Foreign Minister Eduard A. Shevardnadze next week, the White House said Thursday.
Bush’s meeting with Shevardnadze, expected to to begin at 2 p.m. next Thursday at the White House and last up to an hour, will fall on the eve of two days of talks in Jackson Hole, Wyo., between Shevardnadze and Secretary of State James A. Baker III.
